Due to the variability of Arizona’s terrain and temperatures, turbulence may or may not occur on any flight. Our pilots will always to try to minimize the effects of turbulence to the extent possible.

Flights may be cancelled 6 or more days prior to departure for a full refund of any deposits paid. Cancellations 48 hours to 5 days prior to the departure would be subject to a charge of 50% of the booking total. Cancellations within 48 hours would be subject to a charge of 100% of the booking total. With our cancellation protection, you may cancel your trip anytime up to the day of the trip and the total cost would only be the cost of the cancellation protection plus any online booking fees. Cancellation protection may only be purchased at the time of the initial booking.

For custom charters, yes, we can pick you up from other local airports. For our regular tours, they depart from Deer Valley, Sedona, Page and the Grand Canyon.

As of the present time, the DOT does not require any mask mandates. A few of our tours that include a ground portion (Antelope Canyon and Monument Valley) include a mask requirement.

No, Westwind Air Service operates fixed-wing aircraft only. We have 5 passenger and 9 passenger airplanes. On our Grand Canyon Adventure Tour, however, there is a helicopter company that takes passengers on a short 15 minute tour from to the bottom and along the river.
Grand Canyon Tours (South Rim)

Our Adventure Tour includes a helicopter flight down below the rim to a remote plateau. Hiking is not included with any of our regular South Rim tours.

No, the ground portion of our tours has a time constraint and there is not enough time to have our passengers wait in line for lunch. We do offer box lunches or you are free to bring your own food.

The Adventure Tour includes a fairly significant amount of walking on uneven ground. A shuttle bus will take our passengers to the various points of interest.

No. The helicopter holds 7 passengers and is very weight sensitive. The helicopter operator will attempt to keep groups of 6 or less together but may have to split groups due to weight issues in the interest of safety.

No, we are not permitted to get near the water due to the rules set forth by the Hualapai Tribe. The water is considered sacred and we respect their beliefs.

The boat ride is available from time to time, but most often, during the summer heat, the boat ride ceases operations and during the winter, the cold may prevent it.
